Lion & Dragon parade around the city center and more traditional Chinese performances. Food stores will be in Market Square as well.

What is the event about?
There will be many exciting activities happening on 29th January 2023. Dragon and Lion dance all around the city, different performances, and around 20 stalls in Market Square. Please save the date, it will never disappoint you!
The Carnival will start at 10:00 am and end at 17:00 in Market Square. The carnival welcomes everyone to join us! Families, students, and individuals. Some of the stalls will be selling Chinese cultural-related products, Chinese food and drinks, providing a free photo booth and “Fai Chun” writing workshop.
You could experience the Chinese culture and New Year environment in the city on that day. We invite you to watch the performances, try some foods and take some photos with the New Year dressing!
Everyone in the stall on that day is part of the Lancaster community, we hope that more people in the city would recognise those local businesses and organizations through the event.
The main theme of Chinese New Year is blessing and reunion, please come with your family and friends! See you on 6th January 2023!
